Artemis Bear is a start-up founder, researcher, network weaver, community organiser, facilitator, and culture change strategist, with a focus on deschooling and decolonising for regenerative futures. They're the founder of innovative education project The Garden (external link), a researcher in Alternative Futures for Onion Collective, governance officer for radical video game co-op Circle-A Studios, and an active co-creator within The Bristol Commons.
Artemis studied an undergraduate engineering degree in media communication systems in the late 90s, when "new media" was a thing and there was a collective dream of technology as a liberating and democratising force. Since then, things have evidently turned out pretty differently but they maintain the radical optimism that we can reclaim the digital world from corporations and return it into the commons.
